A Transom Window on the Hot and Cold theme

We are working on a second commission for the local home re-development for which the Velux window is destined.   This project is for a leaded panel to form a transom window between a bathroom and the adjoining living space.   In our studio at Taybank is a panel that we call the hot and cold window.  It is an abstract celebration of a very few of the huge range of coloured glasses available.   It has always drawn admiring glances when folk visit our studio and our clients have asked for something using the idea.

The original panel is portrait style and the transom, of course, is landscape style.  The choice of colours and how we will distribute them is yet to be decided....  Like the original, this will probably be just as it happens.
Picture
Option 1 - similar to the original, varying column width, layers straight across
Picture
Option 2 - similar to the original, with the layers straight across, but constant column thickness
Picture
Option 3 - both the layers and column thicknesses varying
Our client preferred option 2.  The drawing has been made, the size template checked on site, with minor design change required, and work will commence very soon.  Follow progress in the slide show below...
